- Inventorying NEW wilderness proposed by the California
Wilderness Coalition (CWC)
- Review of Green Path North and Standard Energy's ROW
application to see if Bighorn will be negatively impacted.
- Participating within the Partnership For Johnson Valley to
look at ways in which wildlife will be damaged by the 29
Palms proposed base expansion.
- Participating in scoping of roads and trails, CA Energy
Commission DRECP, renewal of the withdrawals of China
Lake NAWS and the Chocolate Mountain Gunnery Range.
- Restoration of CCC water tanks and ancillary facilities.
Starting with China Lake.
- Looking at the Fort Irwin final selections and resulting
Senator Feinstein Wilderness legislation.
- We will also be an active participant in 15 year
management plan for the Sheldon Hart Refuge,
Nevada/Oregon....... and always
- Working to keep access to ALL wildlife drinkers/guzzlers,
springs, tinajas, wells and tanks.
- Writing grants to fund water for wildlife projects.
- Supporting the Junior upland game bird hunt in East
Mojave. National Preserve
The state of California is closing state parks
and natural reserves again as a budget
balancing activity. Closures have taken
place. The Tule Elk Natural Reserve is on
the list. Some discussion is on going
regarding letting non-profits run them.
